Prague Cycling

I’m hoping to take the so-called “Prague-Vienna Greenways” cycling trip with my son this summer. We’ll see. In order to prep for said trip the two of us (and sometimes 3 when my wife comes) have been taking to the streets and following all of the available maps as part of our pre-flight training.

The main purpose for all of these recent trips has been to sort out the giganormous discrepancies between the maps (Greenways, local cycling) and reality.

Though the city has done a remarkable job in the last few years at putting up bike paths, they’ve done a pretty sloppy job in labeling them and getting lost or off track is often quite possible, as can be seen by many of our short detours.

Thank god for the iPhone!
